1099 TaxES Setup

How YOU CAN Avoid the April Tax Panic!

Many independent contractors don't have to pay too much in taxes — they just don’t have a system for tracking deductions.

Watch the 2-Minute Explanation

Most 1099 earners don’t struggle earning extra money. They struggle holding onto it at tax time.

Why 1099 Earners Often Pay Tax on Too Much Income

When tax season arrives, many earners are:
• waiting on bookkeepers
• searching for receipts
• unsure what deductions apply
• surprised by their tax bill

The issue usually isn’t the taxes themselves.  It’s the lack of a simple system during the year.

This setup shows independent contractors how to organize income and track deductions during the year so tax season is easier.

Department Heads & Team Managers

If you’re a department, team leader, or office manager and would like to share this resource with your contractors, feel free to pass along this page.  Many of them struggle to organize their numbers throughout the year, which is why I created this simple setup to help them track their deductions and be tax-ready when April arrives. I also give them access all year to a special community group where they can ask their questions.

Built by a CPA Who Knows 1099 Income

You don’t need a complicated accounting system to stay organized when you're self-employed.  But you do need a clear way to track deductions so your 1099 income doesn’t turn into a tax surprise every April.

I’m Mildred, and my first side hustle years ago was actually real estate.  After years of barely breaking even with taxes at my corporate job,
I received a $5,000 tax refund my first year as a new Realtor.

That experience showed me how important it is to track income and deductions correctly when you’re not getting a paycheck.  Since that time — after presenting to companies and staff  and working with business owners one-on-one — I noticed the same issue kept coming up:  People weren’t missing deductions because they didn’t exist. They were missing them because there wasn’t a simple system to track them during the year.

So I created this simple 30-minute setup anyone can use to organize their numbers, along with a small support community to offer ongoing support, answer questions and share what’s working throughout the year.

Most people complete the setup in less than 30 minutes.
